Since 2018, DSV has proudly partnered with Patriots for Disabled Divers (PFDD). PFDD shares the same passion for diving and is dedicated to bringing joy and the proven healing power of scuba to people with disabilities. In what could be considered a near perfect partnership, PFDD and DSV are ensuring that disabled Veterans are not just introduced to diving, but are able to live the diving life combined with effective trauma counseling programs with demonstrated long term effects.
Over the last few years, PFDD expanded our reach across the United States, establishing affiliate dive shops in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Illinois, Florida, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington state. More than 1000 wounded military veterans suffering from PTSD, TBI, amputations and other injuries have benefitted from PFDD’s scuba program.
